All of the rules listed below apply to racing at the track. These are for your benefit and safety in kart racing. Although in racing things won't always go your way, there will be
times when they will. So adhere to the rules and have a great race.

                  Pit Area & Grid Rules:


1. THERE ARE TO BE NO OPEN FLAMES AT ALL AT WOODLEAF!

2.
Drivers are responsible for their crew members and family spectators! You will be black-flagged due to the misconduct of a crew or family member.

3. Stay behind the fences at all times! This includes on the grid and at the scales.  

4. All weights on a go-kart are required to be painted white, marked with your kart's number, and double nutted to the kart's frame. Kart may be checked and if found     
non-compliant you will be told to fix the problem. If you refuse you will be asked to leave with no refunds.

5. You must have on ALL safety apparel at anytime when you come into the grid.

6. You will only be called to the grid area twice. Please be there when you are called the first time.

7. Have a FULL TANK of FUEL when you come to the grid area.

8. Pit buggies CAN NOT pass the fence at the grid area.

9. No karts are to be under power in the pit area
. This includes driving to the grid and from the scales.

10.There are to be no bicycles, mini-bikes, toy cars, or footballs in the pit area.



                                                                                        
  Rules of Conduct:


1. No profanity.

2. If you are caught arguing with or cussing at ANYONE, including track officials, you will be fined $50, suspended for 1 week, and escorted off of the premises by a Rowan
County Sheriff. On your second offense you will be fined $100, suspended for 2 weeks, and escorted off of the premises by a Rowan County Sheriff. On your third offense
you will be escorted off of the premises and suspended through the remainder of the racing season.

3. If you are caught displaying any type of disorderly conduct towards ANYONE and it is brought to the attention of any track official or Rowan County Sheriff, you will be
asked to return to your trailer and/or off of the premises. This includes the use of alcohol and/or drugs. False information reported to the Sheriff can result in your arrest.

4. If you are caught fighting you will be escorted off of the premises by a
Rowan County Sheriff and suspended. You will need to contact BOTH Charlie Sparks and The Track
Committee for review. Upon your removal be prepared to pay a fine.

5.

                             Protest Rules:


1. If you finish in the top 3 and you want to protest, you can protest ANY KART that is in FRONT of YOU!! No back  protesting! However, counter protest will be allowed

2. You must finish in the money to protest in any class.

3. If you are protested and you refuse to tear down, the next time that you finish in the money the track retains the option of tearing you down! If you refuse to tear down
for the track's protest, you will be suspended for 2 weeks!!

4. If you are protested in more than one class and found illegal you will be considered illegal in ANY and ALL other classes that you ran that engine in!

5. ALL protests must be made at the SCALE AREA!!

6. You must have protest money in hand at the time of the protest!!

7. ONLY the tech man and the person tearing down the engine will be allowed in the tech room.

* A $100 fee will be charged to protest and $60 to accept for protest.

*A $10 fee will be charged to pull the plate of another person's kart. This includes your plate. If you pull the plate of another kart, yours will be pulled as well.

8.Cost short Block check is $100, Complete tear down $150



                                                                                      
 Golden Rules:

1. No cussing, fussing or fighting anywhere inside the gate of Woodleaf Speedway.

2. No alcohol or Drugs allowed.

3. No rough driving or blocking.

4. If you go on the track you must be registered for that class.

5. No jumping starts and start at a slow pace.

6. If you are not 3/4 of the way beside someone you do not have the line! If you enter the corner and cause a caution you will go to the back and the one that you spun
out will get there position back. If you are on the outside and do not let them go and you come down you will go to the rear of the field. This call will be by the officials
not the crew members.

7. If you are not on the grid when the rest of your class goes on the track you have one lap then you go to the rear. We will not wait.

8. Do not take off your helmet, or neck brace while waiting for crew members to start your kart. This slows down the race.



                                                                 
                       Points Requirements:

1. We will have 2 points seasons, 1 in the spring, 1 in the fall.  Each season will consist of 6 points races.

2.There will be no drops! Points from each race will be tallied for the total points

3. You will be allowed 1 relief driver each season.
Relief Driver Must Run the number of the kart you are driving for in that class.

4. Your number must be purchased before you are eligible to run for points. Driver and kart will be registered based on bought number.

5. If you are disqualified, this includes being black flagged and declining protests and refuse weighing, you will not receive any points.

6. Kart and driver must take green flag to have points awarded. In case of rain we will take the heat race results and award points, typically half points.

7. Drivers must provide proof of age, if you do not have a form that you carry with you at all times for stock lite and younger classes, or if you are asked for other classes, to
be eligible. (By the date of the driver's original birth certificate, the driver must be of age as of Dec. 25 of the last year.)

8. Any fighting on the track or with the facility will result in loss of points.

9. 11th position on through last kart will receive 50 points, no less.
